Contra-Indications

Rosemary increases levels of adrenaline and thyroxine, and should therefore be avoided in cases of high blood pressure, high rate of metabolism, "hyper" personality and at night. Not to be used in cases of epilepsy or during pregnancy.

Physiological Uses

  • Respiratory System - good for sinussitis, catarrh, flu, colds
  • Muscular - acts as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory, good for aches and pains
  • Cardio-vascular System - increases circulation - good for varicose veins
  • Digestion System - eases flatulence, constipation, has an anti-spasmodic and tonic effect on the stomach
  • Skin & Hair - Brings shine back to dark hair when used as rinse. Stimulates blood supply to hair follicles. Acts as an astringent for oily skin, dandruff.
  • Removes toxins (here it is acting as a counter irritant)

Emotional Uses

Highly stimulating for the sluggish and apathetic, clears head and clarifies thoughts.
